BBP - Foreword 2007

BBP means Block Building Programming. It is based on the Black Box concept well known from cybernetics. For BBP, the terms block and box are synonyms. The BB programs are designed and presented by BB charts rather than by texts. The BB charts express flow of control as well as flow of data. BB charting is a strong candidate for the universal graphical programming language.

BBP - ABC Example

The simple abc chart on the picture expresses the computation result = (a+b)*c. The abc box contains two subboxes, the left one for addition and the right one for multiplication.

The roots, conception, history and plans are presented in the BBP Project. The MKI User Interface is a very important part of the BBP Environment, vital for fast and comfortable design of BB charts. A box is presented in the GCD Example - it describes a real computation. The example has been derived from BB_PROG demo. The BBP demos are incrementally commented animations stored in .BBP files. By them, BBP Environment presents its features. The installation and usage of the BBPE is described in BBPE Express Guide. The BBPE executables and accompanying files are ready for download.

BB Charts Rules is a chapter in the newest report BBP 2007, available on the download page.
